Police held PCPG meetings in Kulgam | KNO

Srinagar, Jul 23 (KNO): As a part of public outreach programme, Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings were held at DH Pora, Khudwani, Qaimoh areas of Kulgam. These meetings were chaired by SSP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal in which representatives and prominent respectables including Auqaf Committees, Chowkidars, Traders Federations and various market associations of Kandimarag, Danew, Chimmer, Neehama, Nandmarag, DH Pora, Redwani, Qaimoh, Khudwani, Hawoora, Rahpora and other adjacent villages participated. DDC Frisal Anaytullah Rather, Addl. SP NHW Qazigund, SDPO DH Pora, DySP DAR Kulgam, DySP PC Kulgam, SHO DH Pora, SHO Qaimoh and other officers and officials of Kulgam Police were also present on the occasion. During the interaction, the participants raised various issues of public importance. SSP Kulgam listened to the grievances patiently and assured them that their genuine grievances will be resolved on priority and every possible help will be provided to the people of the areas and issues will be taken up with concerned departments for their early redressal. While speaking on the occasion, SSP Kulgam laid focus on Community Policing, and requested people to provide factual information and assured the people of the area that J&K Police is always at forefront for protecting and safeguarding the lives and property of the people. The participants were requested to cooperate with Police in maintaining L&O, in eradicating drug menace in the areas and in identifying anti-national/social elements so that a peaceful environment will be created. Moreover, SSP Kulgam asked the participants especially elders present in the meetings that they should keep close eyes on their wards and should refrain from using the social media platforms with carelessness and advise them to use the social media platforms with utmost care to avert any untoward. Later, SSP Kulgam distributed Hearing Aids, Baisaki among specially-abled persons under the aegis of Civic Action Programme-2023-24. While interacting with the beneficiaries, SSP Kulgam assured them all possible support from police department in order to make their lives easy and comfortable and asked them not to allow their physical hindrances and infirmities to come in their ways and to stay active in their lives in pursuit goals—(KNO)
